President Donald Trump had a friendly run-in with Rev. Franklin Graham on Thursday amid his highly reported visit to the ravaged southern border at Eagle Pass, Texas, in an unplanned but special moment for both men.
“Look who I ran into at the border today!” Graham wrote on X. “@realDonaldTrump was a great encouragement to many here.”
“Never know who you are going to run into on the runway at Del Rio TX airport….to have a Peaceful moment…,” added Trump Senior Advisor Chris LaCivita.
Christian singer and faith leader Sean Feucht also chimed in on the special moment in Texas on X, sharing that it happened just after he was on a prayer call with LaCivita on Thursday.
He explained, “Directly after our prayer call tonight with @LaCivitaC asking God for surprises and open doors for their campaign, President Trump runs into @Franklin_Graham on the runway in Texas.”
Rev. Graham was in Eagle Pass to preach on Thursday night as part of his “God Loves You Frontera Tour.” The tour is bringing the good news of the gospel to towns in Texas, Arizona, and California.
From the official website:
“The God Loves You Frontera Tour is coming to a city near you, to give those who don’t know Jesus Christ an opportunity to surrender their lives to Him and to encourage believers in their faith. Each of these one-night free events will feature music from Marcos Witt, with special guest, Taya, and a message of hope from Franklin Graham. All 10 Stops will include a live Spanish interpretation from the stage.”
Rev. Graham has kindly asked Americans to pray for President Trump in the past, and last spring, he urged the country to pray for the country, as well.
He wrote in March 2023:
“The onslaught against him [Trump] is continual. There’s no question, the media and the left manipulated the last election, and they are scared to death of Donald Trump’s possible return. So, night after night, the media runs negative stories about former President Trump. Now they’re talking about the possibility of arresting him in the hopes that this would prevent him from running for president again—this would be a huge mistake. The charges against him are definitely politically motivated.”
He asked Christians to “pray specifically” for Trump and “that God’s hand would be upon him, protect him, and direct him in every step he takes – and that God’s will be done.”
