President Donald Trump isn’t messing around when it comes to striking a blow to Big Tech’s bent toward tyranny. In a brand-new video released this week, Trump took a hammer to the censorship and surveillance regime of social media that has been uncovered through the shocking revelations of Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files.”
“The now-famous ‘Twitter Files’ have proven beyond all doubt that the corrupt officials at the FBI have been coordinating a massive censorship, surveillance, and propaganda campaign against the American People, and frankly, against me,” Trump stated.
Since December, Musk – who now owns Twitter – has released a series of reports via different journalists like Bari Weiss and Matt Taibbi detailing evidence of overwhelming collusion between government agencies and the social media giant.
Trump continued in his response to the Twitter Files: “In the most recent and notorious example, the FBI worked to stop the truth from being told about the Biden Family’s criminality —they worked so hard to stop it from coming out — and the corruption prior to the 2020 election. They didn’t want any bad information to come out about the Biden family. The fix was in, the election was rigged.”
The 45th president also pointed out that the censorship of Hunter Biden’s laptop was “only the beginning of the story about the weaponization of government against free speech.” He noted that recent reporting showed that “the FBI and other rogue agencies have been systematically colluding with former national security officials placed in high positions at Twitter, and very likely other companies, to advance their censorship regime, which is really, in this case, to steal an election.”
Trump emphasized that the collusion between Big Tech and the government was “anti-American” and “very illegal.”
He proposed a seven-year “cooling off period” for employees of powerful agencies who are caught taking part in censorship schemes or information surveillance through the tentacles of Big Tech. The seven years, Trump explained, would be how long an employee would have to wait before they would again be allowed to take a job at any major platform.
Trump added, “The ‘Twitter Files’ prove that we urgently need my plan to dismantle the illegal censorship regime — a regime like nobody’s ever seen in the history of our country or most other countries for that matter. To prosecute the perpetrators for their crimes, and to restore free speech for all Americans — so important. We need a free press, we need free speech, we need fair elections, and we need borders.”
