President Donald Trump was asked on Saturday by an audience member at one of the stops on former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly’s “History Tour” if he would change his rough and tumble “style” of presidential leadership in light of a potential 2024 presidential bid.
“Should I?” President Trump asked jokingly. The audience laughed and Trump continued, “I get that question all the time…I had to do two things [while president]. I had to run the country, and I had to survive.”
President Trump also pointed out that “from the moment I came down the escalator with the First Lady, I was under major criminal investigation.”
He was the subject of endless political witch hunts in the media, starting in 2016 when he ran for president the first time. In an interview with Mark Levin on Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin” in December, Trump commented on the now-debunked accusations of his alleged collusion with Russian entities during the 2016 election. “I think it’s disgraceful,” he said. “I always knew it was a hoax.” Additionally, Trump stated during that interview that the Hillary Clinton campaign gave millions of dollars to Christopher Steele, who went on to piece together a false dossier, as previously reported by RSBN.
President Trump continued his comments with Bill O’Reilly, remarking that, “As somebody who had to survive as part of the job – there’s never been a thing like that…ever.” Previously in November, President Trump remarked in an interview with conservative podcast host Allie Beth Stuckey on her show, “Relatable,” that Democrats “play a vicious game. They play a dirty game. And they do it continuously.”
Additionally, Trump slammed the media and the Democrat party for their twisted tactics, particularly when they go after members of his family. “That’s one of the things that most bothers me,” he remarked. “They go after my children. When they go after your children, you take that differently and so personally.”
President Trump’s “History Tour” with Bill O’Reilly concluded on Sunday in Dallas, Texas, after making three previous stops.
