Despite fighting never-ending legal battles, President Trump maintains his lead in the polls, especially in Texas, thanks to suburban and rural voters.
It is well known that President Trump’s campaign raises huge amounts of funding, and now, even more so from the suburbs of Texas. Hot Air reported that President Trump’s campaign raised $3.8M while other candidates like Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., and Nikki Haley raised half that amount combined. This is all thanks to small donors and his previous indictments that saw an increase in support.
This lead in Texas is good news as President Trump plans to campaign in the Lone Star State on Nov. 2.
President Trump isn’t just dominating against his fellow Republican candidates but also against Joe Biden, according to the latest University of Texas/Texas Politics Project Poll. The poll, taken between October 5 and 17 among 1,200 registered voters, showed President Trump leading Biden with 43 percent of votes. Biden only received 37 percent of the vote.
Among the Republican candidates, President Trump won 67 percent, with DeSantis coming in second with 13 percent and Haley in third place with 7 percent.
Participants were also asked, “Is Joe Biden too old to be president in 2024?” to which 81 percent of Independent voters answered yes.
In other states, President Trump leads the polls by an impressive 49 points, per a poll reported on by RSBN. According to this poll conducted by the Morning Consult, President Trump currently has 62 percent of the votes, with DeSantis in second place at 13 percent, Haley at 7 percent, and Vivek Ramaswamy following closely with 6 percent.
President Trump continues to gain support from the Republican Party after securing his latest endorsement from Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves (R).
