Trump makes endorsement for Arizona attorney general

President Donald Trump made an important endorsement for Arizona attorney general on Tuesday, putting his support behind Republican candidate Abraham Hamadeh.

Trump announced his support for Hamadeh, an Army veteran and former prosecutor, saying, “Abraham Hamadeh will restore LAW and ORDER to Arizona, and he has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

“Abraham Hamadeh is a fantastic candidate running for Arizona Attorney General,” the president said via his Save America PAC. Pointing to what Hamadeh would do on the election integrity front, Trump added, “Abe Hamadeh knows what happened in the 2020 Election, and will enforce voting laws so that our Elections are Free and Fair again.”

Current Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnvoich is not seeking reelection and is instead seeking a seat in the U.S. Senate. President Trump has criticized him several times for reportedly doing nothing about the 2020 election fraud.

“Attorney General Brnovich of Arizona was given massive information on the fraud and so-called ‘irregularities’ that took place in the 2020 Presidential Election,” Trump wrote in a statement in April.

He continued, “Well, he did a report, and he recites some of the many horrible things that happened in that very dark period of American history but, rather than go after the people that committed these election crimes, it looks like he is just going to ‘kick the can down the road’ and stay in the middle path of non-controversy.”

The 45th president made it clear that he believes Hamadeh would take a different approach.

Trump added, “He will go after the drug cartels to secure and stop the invasion of our Southern Border, and is committed to the Constitution, equal justice under the law, and our Military and our Veterans.”

The 45th president’s endorsements are critical to Republicans’ success in the primaries as most Trump-endorsed candidates cruise to victory.

“President Trump’s endorsement expands our lead by 38%!” the candidate tweeted. “Trump’s stamp of approval is the GREATEST in politics and I’m honored to have earned it yesterday.”

The Arizona Republican primary will occur on Aug. 2, 2022.
