President Donald Trump made a solemn pledge on Saturday night that no other prospective presidential candidate could make by promising to “swiftly end” the war in Ukraine if he is reelected as the Commander-in-Chief in 2024.
“Standing before you today, I am the only candidate who can make this promise: I will prevent World War III, which we’re heading into,” he said, speaking to a crowd of thousands in Waco, Texas at an electrifying 2024 campaign rally.
The 45th president asserted, “I will have that settlement done within 24 hours,” noting the dangerous times that Americans have been living through with Joe Biden at the helm of leadership in the Oval Office.
“We’re heading into World War III and this will be a war like no other,” he warned.
He preceded his comments by reminding the crowd that he was the only president “in decades” who did not start any new wars.
Trump also reflected on his success as the president during his first term in office, pointing out that he “fixed our military” and gave Americans “the largest tax cut in the history of our country” and the “largest regulation cut [s] in the history of our country…”
He encouraged attendees to remember, “…this nation does not belong to them, this nation belongs to YOU.”
