President Donald Trump, who campaigned in 2016 and 2020 strongly on border security, weighed in on the current construction of the Lone Star State’s border wall, which may be too little, too late, considering the nearly three years of unfettered illegal immigration that has taken place in Texas.

The 45th president, who is still staunchly advocating for securing the southern border amid his 2024 campaign, wrote on Truth Social on Thursday, “So interesting to watch Crooked Joe Biden break every environmental law in the book to prove that I was right when I built 560 miles (they incorrectly state 450 in story!) of brand new, beautiful border wall.”

According to the Associated Press, the Biden administration has waived 26 federal laws to allow for the construction of the southern border wall in the great state of Texas, which is taking place in Starr County.

Per their report, around 245,000 illegal entries have been made this fiscal year in the Rio Grande Valley Sector.

Trump added, “As I have stated often, over thousands of years, there are only two things that have consistently worked, wheels, and walls!”

Over the past year or so, Trump has reiterated several times that he believes the real number of illegal migrants in the United States will clock in at around “15 million,” which would put more modest estimates from federal agencies to shame. If that is true, then the United States’ infrastructure to support such migrants may be more taxed than people realize.

Via the Associated Press, Department of Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas noted that there was an “acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers” at the border to prevent ongoing illegal crossings.

Trump continued, “Will Joe Biden apologize to me and America for taking so long to get moving, and allowing our country to be flooded with 15 million illegal immigrants, from places unknown. I will await his apology!”
