President Donald Trump brought the heat on Friday evening at the annual NRA convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, vowing to protect Second Amendment rights when he is the 47th President of the United States.

“I promise you this – with me at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, no one will lay a finger on your firearms…I will uphold those glorious words: shall not be infringed,” he told the crowd, drawing cheers and applause.

The president also promised that on day one of his second term: “I will stop Joe Biden’s war on lawful gun owners.”

In a speech that touched on Biden’s disastrous leadership and contrasted the present catastrophic state of the Union against the success of the America First agenda, President Trump reminded supporters, “If you put me back in the White House, their reign is over and America will be a free nation once again!”

He also highlighted the recent political persecution of himself and his campaign at the behest of the DOJ, the FBI, and local prosecutors. He called it “election interference,” but noted that his campaign was doing better than ever. “…We’re doing very well thank you,” he quipped.
