President Donald Trump raised more than $1 million in just one day following his unprecedented indictment by Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
According to Trump Senior Advisor Jason Miller, the 45th president raised another $1.1 million on Monday. Miller also noted that the presidential candidate’s total donations surpassed $8 million since he was indicted last Thursday.
Trump sent out a fundraising email shortly after news of his indictment broke, writing to his supporters that Democrats’ “witch hunt” persecution of him would “backfire massively on Joe Biden.”
“Ever since I ran for president as a complete political outsider, the corrupt ruling class has tried to shut down our America First movement,” Trump’s email stated.
“The Deep State will use anything at their disposal to shut down the one political movement that puts you first,” he added.
In the first 24 hours following the indictment, Trump’s 2024 team reported that more than $4 million had been raised for his presidential campaign. His team also noted that 25 percent of these donations were given by first-time donors, which they said was “further solidifying President Trump’s status as the clear frontrunner in the Republican primary.”
