President Donald Trump recently reaffirmed his intent to declassify any remaining documents related to the assassination of the late President John F. Kennedy, who was shot in 1963.
Trump wrote on Truth Social, “When I return to the White House, I will declassify and unseal all JFK assassination related documents. It’s been 60 years, time for the American people to know the TRUTH!”
Trump’s statement is a reiteration of his previously stated intent to unseal JFK-related documents upon a return to the Oval Office. As reported by RSBN, Trump told Marc Caputo this year, “I will release the remaining portion very early in my term.”
For reference, there are thousands of documents that are related to the investigation of President Kennedy’s assassination that were scheduled to be released in 2017 at the behest of the 1992 Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act.
Last week, the National Archives released all but one percent of the JFK files, prompting endless speculation as to why a portion of documents are still being withheld from the public.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nephew of President Kennedy and a 2024 Democrat presidential candidate, slammed the continued obfuscation of information regarding the late president’s assassination.
He wrote on Twitter, “The assassination was 60 years ago. What national security secrets could possibly be at risk? What are they hiding?”
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson also addressed this topic as well during a conversation with Russell Brand. He noted that the only reason why the “truth” about the Kennedy assassination continued to be hidden from the American public was “it implicates not the individuals but institutions and reveals them as complicit in a murder…”
RFK Jr. has previously indicated that he believes the U.S. intelligence communities were involved in the assassination of his uncle. He told Joe Rogan that he’s “careful” and that he takes “precautions” in light of that belief to protect himself.
