President Donald Trump and Piers Morgan, former “Good Morning Britain” host, engaged in an intense exchange during a recent interview at Mar-a-Lago.

On Wednesday, Morgan released the trailer for the “Most Explosive Interview of the Year.” The promotional clip leads the audience to believe that President Trump was overcome with anger from the start. However, the unedited version of the exchange shows otherwise.

Morgan’s interview trailer features him stating that the 2020 election was a “free and fair election” that President Trump “lost.” Without hesitation, Trump proclaims that “only a fool would believe” the assertion made by Morgan.

Moreover, the British star appeared shocked at Trump’s straightforward approach. “Do you think I’m a fool?” asks Morgan. Without sugarcoating his opinion, Trump replies, “I do now.”

Morgan then interrupts the 45th president during the exchange, adding fuel to the fire. As a result, Trump fires back, “excuse me,” to which Morgan pauses for Trump to speak. Again, Morgan challenges Trump’s 2020 election claim, “have you produced the hard evidence?” he asked. Subsequently, the video depicts an agitated Trump exiting the set while calling Morgan a “very dishonest” person.

Following Morgan’s release of the “deceptively” edited trailer, the 45th president’s communications team has produced audio evidence that tells a different story.

According to Taylor Budowich, Trump’s communications director, Morgan’s spliced preview is a “pathetic attempt” to smear the 45th president. The audio file released by Budowich reveals Morgan was pleading for more time after approaching an hour long-dialogue.

Per the evidence, the meeting was cordial until the conclusion when Morgan asked Trump multiple times for more than one “one last question.”

After Morgan’s failed attempt to hold Trump longer than the allotted time, Trump was heard saying, “turn the cameras off.” The formal interview time had expired, but the production crew was still recording until a Trump staffer instructed them to “turn the mics off too.”

President Trump set the record straight in a statement released late Wednesday night.

“Piers Morgan, like the rest of the Fake News Media, attempted to unlawfully and deceptively edit his long and tedious interview with me,” he said. “[Morgan] wanted to make it look like I walked out on the interview when my time limit of 20 minutes went over by an hour. The good news is that the interview was taped by us as a means of keeping him honest.”

Trump continued, “The interview was actually very strong on the 2020 Election Fraud, with me calling him ‘a fool’ if he truly believed those results. The evidence is massive and irrefutable (check out Truth the Vote and the Dinesh D’Souza documentary, which will all be coming out soon).”

“For those who want to make Piers look bad, compare his video promo and how it was doctored to the real thing. Hopefully they will now be doing some big changes to their final product. It just shows, however, what I have to deal with in the Fake News Media. He went out of his way to deceptively edit an interview and got caught. That is a big story, isn’t it?” the 45th president concluded.
