Trump says Clinton probe findings are ‘just the beginning’

President Donald Trump during a Tuesday interview on Fox News Digital predicted that Durham has only scratched the surface of the extent of spying that occurred on his campaign and presidency.

“It looks like this is just the beginning, because, if you read the filing and have any understanding of what took place, and I called this a long time ago, you’re going to see a lot of other things happening, having to do with what, really, just is a continuation of the crime of the century,” Trump told Fox News. “This is such a big event, nobody’s seen anything like this.”

A Feb. 11 filing by Special Counsel John Durham claims that Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign hired a technology firm to “infiltrate” Trump Tower and White House servers in an attempt to link President Trump with Russia before and during his presidency.

“Who would think a thing like this is even possible?” Trump asked. “Durham is also coming up with things far bigger than anybody thought possible. Nobody ever thought a thing like this would be even discussed, let alone an act like this committed.”

Trump concluded the alleged actions of the Clinton campaign are “treason at the highest level.” Since news broke of Durham’s findings last week, Trump has demanded accountability for those responsible. Other Republican leaders have expressed the need for justice. Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., stated, “The American people deserve justice. Someone needs to go to jail.”

For years, the liberal media refused to acknowledge the legitimacy of Trump’s claims that the Clinton campaign spied on his 2016 campaign and during his first term. Trump told Fox News, “People were suspicious that something was going on.”

Based on Durham’s findings, Trump’s claims were right.

“This is as bad as it gets,” Trump continued. “Based on what everyone is seeing, Durham may go down as a great hero in this country that will be talked about for years.”

Praising Durham for releasing the report, Trump told Fox News, “I gained great respect for John Durham, that he was able to do this, and that he would put it out, because other people knew it and it wasn’t coming out—it just wasn’t coming out.” The 45th president added, “And to think, we went through a whole Mueller scam, and nothing was said.”

Trump also pointed out the mainstream media’s silence on the Durham report. He explained, “Another crime is being committed—and that’s the crime of the media…they refuse to talk about it and yet it is 10 times bigger than Watergate.”

Warning that the media will not be able to hide the facts forever, Trump said, “The press is corrupt, and they don’t like to cover it. They’re sort of being forced. It is such a big story; I don’t know that they can play the game much longer.”
