President Trump released an official statement through his Save America PAC on Monday, calling on MAGA voters to support his endorsed candidate and the nominee in the Michigan GOP gubernatorial race, Tudor Dixon.
“Tudor Dixon MUST defeat Gretchen Whitmer in November!” the 45th president wrote. “I have talked to Tudor about the race and her choice of a running mate, Shane Hernandez. Since then, I have checked and found him to be an outstanding person. In fact, he was named Michigan’s most Conservative legislator, and is strongly committed to Election Integrity. The MAGA movement should support the ticket!”
He added, “This is who Tudor wants and therefore, Shane is who I want as your next Lieutenant Governor.”
In early August, Trump announced his endorsement for Dixon, who is a businesswoman and notorious critic of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, D-Mich., per RSBN.
In his endorsement, Trump said, “I could tell she had something very special – it was a quality that few others have. She delivered a powerful speech on how she would lead Michigan, fight for Election Integrity, turn around the Economy, and protect the future of Michigan for every child.”
On Monday, Trump called on Republicans to unite and work together to defeat “Radical Left Democrats” and the “Fake News Media.” He continued, “All Republicans must unite and work hard for Tudor and Shane. Also, never forget about our great Attorney General candidate, Matt DePerno, and wonderful Kristina Karamo, for Secretary of State!”
Dixon captured the Republican gubernatorial nomination in early August, and in November, she will run against incumbent Gov. Whitmer. As previously reported by RSBN, Dixon has repeatedly slammed Whitmer for her poor handling of the Covid pandemic.
“The MAGA movement in Michigan is stronger than ever, and we must make Michigan Trump Red in November,” Trump concluded in his statement. “Always remember, AMERICA FIRST!”
