President Donald Trump announced on Monday evening that he had gained the endorsement of an important New Hampshire group just one day out from the state’s Republican primary election.
The United Federation of Police Officers (UFPO) has endorsed the 45th president’s bid for the presidency, and the president elevated this important announcement onstage at a campaign event in Laconia.
He asked Jerry Flynn, the president of the UFPO, to take the stage, where he offered a brief explanation as to why the UFPO had chosen to stand behind Trump’s 2024 election bid.
“Jerry’s been great,” Trump said.
Mr. Flynn took the podium and told a crowd of excited supporters, “In 2008 to 2016 there was what was created by Barack Obama and Joe Biden called the ‘War on Cops…’ In 2016, Donald J. Trump became the law enforcement president, and we had four great years with him, and we need those four years back.”
He added, “We were happy to be the first law enforcement agency to endorse him in 2015 and we’re proud…to stand with the law and order President Donald J. Trump.”
President Donald Trump’s speech in Laconia on Monday strongly encouraged voters in New Hampshire to get to the polls and vote for him in the primary election, urging them to show up in record numbers.
“Now is the time for the Republican Party to COME TOGETHER,” he declared, calling for a unified front against Joe Biden headed into the November 2024 general election.
In New Hampshire, final polls showed that President Trump had the lion’s share of Republican voters’ support. According to the final New Hampshire GOP primary poll from Suffolk/NBC10/Boston Globe, Trump was up 22 points over former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who now remains as the only candidate to attempt to challenge Trump for the Republican nomination.
