In a Friday Truth Social post, President Donald Trump slammed California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom after news circulated of his plans to resist the policies of the new Trump administration.
President-elect Trump wrote in a Truth Social post, “Governor Gavin Newscum is trying to KILL our Nation’s beautiful California. For the first time ever, more people are leaving than are coming in. He is using the term ‘Trump-Proof’ as a way of stopping all of the GREAT things that can be done to ‘Make California Great Again,’ but I just overwhelmingly won the Election.”
Trump blasted Newsom for his radical policies: “People are being forced to leave due to his, & other’s, INSANE POLICY DECISIONS, like the ridiculously rerouting of MILLIONS OF GALLONS OF WATER A DAY FROM THE NORTH OUT INTO THE PACIFIC OCEAN, rather than using it, free of charge, for the towns, cities, & farms dotted all throughout California.”
He continued, writing, “They are making it impossible to build a reasonably priced car, the unchecked and unbalanced homeless catastrophe, & the cost of EVERYTHING, in particular ‘groceries,’ IS OUT OF CONTROL.”
Trump concluded the post with a forewarning of his plans for election integrity nationwide. “Also, as an ‘AGENT’ for the United States of America on Voting & Elections, I will be DEMANDING THAT VOTER I.D., AND PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP, ARE A NECESSARY PART AND COMPONENT OF THE VOTING PROCESS!”
Trump’s post was in response to Newsom’s post-election statement that said, “California will seek to work with the incoming president — but let there be no mistake, we intend to stand with states across our nation to defend our Constitution and uphold the rule of law.”
Newsom has implemented various far-left agenda measures, some of which may violate federal law but have gone unchallenged by the Biden-Harris administration.
During an appearance on Fox News’ “Special Report,” Washington Democratic Rep. Adam Smith advised Washington’s Governor-elect, Bob Ferguson (D), and Newsom (D), “If you want to stand up to Trump, I suggest you don’t ever mention him. I suggest you govern well.”
Smith then bluntly stated, “Let’s stop with the, I’m going to stop Trump,” adding, “What are you doing for the state of Washington? What are you doing for the state of California?”
