President Donald Trump called out the Justice Department for going after him while ignoring the Clinton email scandal.
“This fully weaponized monster, Jack Smith, shouldn’t be let anywhere near the political persecution of ‘President Donald J. Trump.’ I did nothing wrong on January 6th, and nothing wrong with the Democrats’ fix on the Document Hoax, that is, unless the six previous Presidents did something wrong also,” Trump wrote in a press release Monday, slamming newly appointed Special Counsel Jack Smith.
Per RSBN, Smith is overseeing the investigation into the documents seized at Mar-a-Lago in August and examining whether Trump and his administration attempted to block a transition of power to the Biden administration.
Trump continued, questioning when the Justice Department would “invade Bill and Hillary’s home in search of the 33,000 emails she deleted AFTER receiving a subpoena from the U.S. Congress?”
As reported by RSBN, the former secretary of state proceeded to delete the government-related emails against the State Department requests, yet the FBI never raided the Clintons’ home.
Furthermore, Trump pressed the Justice Department about when they would “invade the other Presidents’ homes in search of documents.”
“When will you invade the other Presidents’ homes in search of documents, which are voluminous, which they took with them, but not nearly so openly and transparently as I did?” Trump asked.
He pointed out this double standard during a Save America rally in Arizona, saying, “Just look at how every other president has been treated when they left office – they’ve been treated beautifully. All they need to do is leave office and they get treated beautifully,” per RSBN.
“Barack Hussein Obama moved more than 20 truckloads of over 33 million pages of documents – both classified and unclassified to a poorly built, totally unsafe…a furniture store located in a rather bad neighborhood in Chicago,” Trump said, adding that former President George W. Bush stored 68 million pages of documents in a warehouse in Texas and “lost 22 million White House emails” related to the Iraq invasion.
Trump also claimed that former President Bill Clinton stored classified documents “in a sock.”
