President Donald Trump spoke out over the nation’s recent controversy over mysterious drones appearing over U.S. cities.

Trump argued during a Monday Mar-a-Lago press conference that the government “knows what is happening” and called on the Biden administration to open up about the issue.

“The government knows what is happening,” Trump said.

“Our military knows where they took off from. If it’s a garage, they can go right into that garage. They know where it came from and where it went, and for some reason they don’t want to comment,” Trump said, noting that the government should be honest with the American people.

“And I think they’d be better off saying what it is. Our military knows, and our president knows,” he said of President Joe Biden.

“And for some reason they want to keep people in suspense,” Trump said. “I can’t imagine it’s the enemy, because if it was the enemy, they would blast it out.

“Something strange is going on. For some reason, they don’t want to tell the people, and they should, because the people are really, I mean, they happen to be over Bedminster if you want to know the truth,” Trump said.

“They’re very, they’re very close to Bedminster. I think maybe I won’t spend the weekend in Bedminster,” Trump joked. “I’ve decided to cancel my trip.”

On Monday evening, the Department of Homeland Security, FBI, FAA and Department of Defense released a statement addressing the drone controversy in New Jersey.

“Having closely examined the technical data and tips from concerned citizens, we assess that the sightings to date include a combination of lawful commercial drones, hobbyist drones, and law enforcement drones, as well as manned fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and stars mistakenly reported as drones,” the statement said.

“We have not identified anything anomalous and do not assess the activity to date to present a national security or public safety risk over the civilian airspace in New Jersey or other states in the northeast,” it continued.

The Daily Wire reported on Tuesday that the FBI alone has received over 5,000 tips in recent weeks with approximately 100 leads that authorities have investigated.
