President Trump took a swipe at White House politics in a blistering statement posted to Truth Social on Tuesday, decimating the administration for their claim that they “knew absolutely nothing about” the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago before it happened.
“The White House stated strongly that they were NOT INVOLVED, and knew absolutely nothing about, the political Witch Hunt going on with me, & that they didn’t know anything at all about the Break-In of Mar-a-Lago,” Trump wrote.
He continued, “This was strongly reiterated against & again. WRONG! Remember, these are the people who spied on my campaign, denied it, & got caught.”
On Monday, President Trump further announced that he would take legal action to protect himself following the FBI’s unprecedented move to raid his home and seize items from his property. Per RSBN, Trump’s lawyers filed a motion that alleges that the 45th president’s Fourth Amendment rights were violated by the FBI’s actions.
The Fourth Amendment refers to the right of the people to “be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.”
Trump continued in his Truth Social statement by facetiously pointing out, “Through the great reporting of John Solomon (Fake Pulitzer Prize?), documents reveal they knew everything, in fact led the charge – a political NO, NO!”
The president followed up his personal comments with a quote from Kevin Corke from “Fox and Friends”:
“Legal Scholars are now questioning the role of the Biden White House in the Raid, and in the collection of materials that the former President should have been able to claim executive privilege over. People are incredibly upset, in fact outraged in many quarters, about this Raid at the home of the former President of the United States.”
On Aug. 12, the search warrant and the property receipt for the raid on Mar-a-Lago were unsealed. Further, federal judge Bruce Reinhart recently gave the DOJ an Aug. 25 deadline to at least partially unseal the affidavit that greenlit the search warrant itself, per RSBN.
