President Donald Trump’s Save America PAC announced Tuesday that he would be visiting Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday to support Joe Lombardo and Adam Laxalt’s midterm campaigns.
Trump endorsed the Republican gubernatorial nominee, Joe Lombardo, and Republican Senate nominee, Adam Laxalt, prior to their primary victories in June.
Save America PAC announced, “President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, will deliver remarks on the America First Agenda and will be joined by endorsed candidates Joe Lombardo for Governor and Adam Laxalt for Senate in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 5:00 PM PDT.”
Trump’s event supporting Lombardo and Laxalt will occur at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino.
Before the 45th president’s speech on America First policies, Lombardo, Laxalt, and other speakers will address Nevadans.
Lombardo is running against incumbent Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak in an attempt to flip the Democrat stronghold of Nevada.
After Trump’s endorsement helped Lombardo win the Republican nomination for governor, he tweeted, “No matter who you are, where you’re from, or who you voted for, I am ready to listen to you, work for you, and fight for your future.”
Laxalt is running against incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto. In addition to Trump’s endorsement, he touted the endorsements of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Gov. Ron Desantis, R-Fla., former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Donald Trump Jr.
According to The Hill, Laxalt is Nevada’s former attorney general and was the co-chairman of the 45th president’s reelection bid in 2020.
Trump’s endorsement record remains strong ahead of the November midterm elections. Trump-endorsed candidates have performed exceedingly well in crowded Republican primary elections.
The 45th president’s visit to Nevada on Friday could provide the momentum boost Lombardo and Laxalt need to flip the state of Nevada for Republicans in November.
