President Trump will deliver remarks in the state of Florida in November, the Republican Party of Florida confirmed.
Trump will speak to audience members as part of the Florida Freedom Summit on Nov. 4 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will also speak at the conference, the group confirmed. Trump and DeSantis will both speak to audiences on the same day “for the first time” during the 2024 presidential season, Republican Party of Florida Chairman Christian Ziegler wrote to his account on X (formerly Twitter).
Other featured speakers include Sen. Rick Scott and Rep. Byron Donalds.
Recent polling also found that the 45th president has an impressive lead over DeSantis in the Sunshine State. An August survey from Victory Insights of 590 Likely Voters found that Trump led the governor in his own state by 36 points.
Trump led the governor 59 to 23 percent, according to the poll. Former N.J. Gov. Chris Christie took third place with four percent support, while businessman Vivek Ramaswamy placed in fourth with three percent.
Former S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley took three percent, while former Vice President Mike Pence and S.C. Sen. Tim Scott earned one percent support.
In a head-to-head race between Trump and DeSantis, the 45th president led by 28-points (64 percent to 36 percent).
Florida carries a whopping 125 delegates, and will deliver them on a winner-take-all basis. In his first primary, Trump won the 2016 Florida GOP primary, even defeating the state’s own Republican Sen. Marco Rubio.
