President Donald J. Trump announced plans to sue the Pulitzer Prize Board over prizes the organization awarded for reporting on the Russian collusion hoax.

“Within the next two weeks, we’re suing the Pulitzer organization to have those prizes taken back,” Trump revealed Saturday at a Save America rally in Robstown, Texas.

In 2018, the Pulitzer Prize Board awarded National Reporting Prizes to The New York Times and the Washington Post for reporting on the since-debunked rumors that Trump had colluded with Russia to interfere in the 2016 election.

“Think of it – they got the Pulitzer Prize for wrong reporting, but other people should have gotten the Pulitzer Prize because, frankly, they got it right for years,” Trump said, contending that Fox News personalities Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Jeanine Pirro, and Laura Ingraham were more deserving of such recognition.

Further, by allowing the two media outlets to keep the prizes, Trump held that the Pulitzer Prize Board was effectively committing libel against him “because they’re saying they got it right.”

Since last October, the president has contacted the Pulitzer Prize Board multiple times to request that the prizes be revoked.

In July, the board denied those requests, stating that “no passages or headlines, contentions or assertions in any of the winning submissions were discredited by facts that emerged subsequent to the conferral of the prizes.”

Trump ripped the organization in response, stating it had lost “any shred of credibility it had left” with its failure to rectify the situation.

Now, with new revelations coming out every day about how corrupt the related Russia investigation was from the start, Trump may very well find the justice he seeks in not just one but two courts – the federal court, and the court of public opinion.
