President Donald Trump trolled mainstream news on Tuesday by releasing a statement from the White House website detailing 100 days of hoaxes.

The list of top lies against the Trump administration began with a false CNN fact check, among its over 50 fake news headlines.

“Since President Donald J. Trump took office 100 days ago, it has been a nonstop deluge of hoaxes and lies from Democrats and their allies in the Fake News suffering from terminal cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome,” the list began. The first hoax noted:

  • HOAX: Fake News CNN attempted to “fact check” President Trump’s claim that the Biden Administration spent millions on “making mice transgender.”
  • FACT: After their so-called “fact check” was thoroughly debunked, they were forced to update it in disgrace and admit the claim was, in fact, true.

Another false news headline included journalist John Harwood claiming that the Department of Defense removed Gen. Colin Powell’s name from a list of notable Americans buried at Arlington Cemetery. No names were removed, and Powell’s name remained listed.

One of the most egregious false claims included Illinois Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker and Chicago school officials claiming that ICE agents raided an elementary school. This report was later proven false. Instead, the Secret Service was investigating a threat unrelated to illegal immigration.

Multiple accusations highlighted mainstream media attacks on DOGE. For example, “Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) and other Democrats pushed the lie that DOGE posted ‘classified information’ on their website,” according to the memo.

Instead, the “alleged ‘classified information’ was really just an employment headcount — which has been publicly available for years.”

The memo comes after Trump’s longtime battles over fake news. In March, the president signed an executive order directing the Justice Department to declassify Crossfire Hurricane files related to false allegations that Trump campaign members colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

“Except as provided below, I have determined that all of the materials referenced in the Presidential Memorandum of January 19, 2021 (Declassification of Certain Materials Related to the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane Investigation), are no longer classified,” the order stated.
