President Donald Trump responded to a question from the press on Saturday at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines. “We don’t take plea deals because I did nothing wrong,” he said, when asked if he would consider taking a plea deal in the ongoing Fulton County investigation in Georgia.

As reported by RSBN, President Trump is facing a potential fourth indictment in Georgia at the behest of District Attorney Fani Willis and a grand jury investigating phone calls that the president made to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in 2020.

In late July, security preparations began at the Fulton County Courthouse ahead of the looming indictment, as the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office began erecting barricades just outside the front steps.

This impending indictment from Georgia would be the fourth time that the president has faced charges in 2023. In August, the president was arraigned in Washington, D.C., at a federal courthouse on four charges related to an investigation into the events of Jan. 6, 2021.

On Monday, President Trump commented on the Georgia investigation, writing on Truth Social, “I UNDERSTAND THROUGH ILLEGAL LEAKS TO THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA THAT PHONEY FANI WILLIS, THE D.A. OF FULTON COUNTY, GEORGIA, WANTS DESPERATELY TO INDICT ME ON THE RIDICULOUS GROUNDS OF TAMPERING WITH THE 2020 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.”

He added, “NO, I DIDN’T TAMPER WITH THE ELECTION! THOSE WHO RIGGED & STOLE THE ELECTION WERE THE ONES DOING THE TAMPERING, & THEY ARE THE SLIME THAT SHOULD BE PROSECUTED. I MADE A PERFECT PHONE CALL OF PROTEST. WHY WASN’T THIS FAKE CASE BROUGHT 2.5 YEARS AGO? ELECTION INTERFERENCE!”

Per RSBN, President Trump may face be facing racketeering charges in Fulton County. Trump noted on Monday that he “DID NOT TAMPER WITH THE ELECTION” and that he would be “HAPPY TO SHOW” evidence related to election fraud to the grand jury investigating the case.
