President Donald Trump will reportedly be joined onstage by several former 2024 GOP presidential rivals in Laconia, New Hampshire, on Monday night, on the eve of the state’s first-in-the-nation Republican primary election.
According to Fox News Digital, Trump will be joined by North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (R), businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott (R) at a campaign event that will stir voters to turn up big for the primary election on Tuesday.
Burgum, Ramaswamy, and Scott have all endorsed President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential bid.
President Donald Trump is leading by wide margins in New Hampshire, but he has stressed to Granite State primary voters that voter turnout is imperative.
“Get out and vote and make sure we win by big margins,” he told supporters in Atkinson last week.
He warned Republicans not to be complacent because of his dominant poll numbers, urging them to “GET OUT AND VOTE!”
Per Fox, Ramaswamy, Burgum, and Scott will reportedly make comments onstage at some point in the evening and converse with the media.
It appears that Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., who just exited the GOP presidential primary race on Sunday afternoon, will not join Trump in Laconia.
However, the Republicans’ appearance on the campaign trail with Trump represents a nearly uniform turning of the tide in the battle for the GOP 2024 nomination.
Before DeSantis dropped out of the race, a Harvard/Caps/Harris poll of the GOP primary showed that the 45th president had a national 61-point lead over the Florida governor, with Haley stuck in single digits. It is likely that Trump’s lead will only increase with DeSantis out of the race.
Haley has never managed to gain very much traction with Republican voters. In New Hampshire, Trump is leading by nearly 20 points, according to the latest USA Today/Suffolk survey.
