President Donald Trump’s approval rating among millennials has grown substantially this month, according to a new poll.
According to a recent Economist/YouGov survey, 46 percent of the group approve of the president. Moreover, millennials, who were born between 1981 and 1996, represent the majority of the U.S. electorate.
Moreover, only 49 percent of those polled disapproved of the president, a small two-point deficit.
Impressively, the president’s favorability also jumped by eight points since April, having previously been 38 percent—one of the largest increases recorded for any voter bloc, according to Newsweek.
For context, President Trump only lost the millennial vote in 2024 by four points (47 to 51 percent). Therefore, his current deficit for the demographic is the smallest for any Republican in nearly twenty years.
The president’s high favorability rating among millennials comes amid his slew of tariffs, which initially caused some uncertainty in the markets. However, his approval has seemingly surged amid his handling of the economy, with key voter groups supporting his tenure, per Newsweek.
