President Donald Trump wished the nation a happy Independence Day on Tuesday, highlighting the uphill battle of reclaiming American freedom as the country looks ahead to 2024.

“Happy FOURTH OF JULY to everyone,” he wrote on Truth Social.

Over the weekend, the president celebrated the birth of America in Pickens, South Carolina, at a monster rally where tens of thousands of people packed the main street of the historic town to hear Trump deliver remarks.

Trump added, “We are working hard, we will take back our Country, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. The 2024 Election is our LAST GREAT CHANCE!”

His comments echo the same theme of his Pickens rally, where he encouraged Americans to “charge forward to VICTORY” as the Founding Fathers did after signing the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

“They poured out their blood, sweat, and tears to make this into the GREATEST NATION IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD,” he said on Saturday.

On social media, Team Trump shared a throwback video to the president’s Independence Day address at Mount Rushmore in 2020.

“In his remarks, Pres. Trump defended American history, heroes, values, and way of life against the left-wing cultural revolution that is determined to overthrow the American Revolution,” the account highlighted.

The president in 2020 paid his respects to the generations of freedom fighters who had come before, lauding their revolutionary efforts to implement a new kind of republic.

He declared, “Our Founders launched not only a revolution in government, but a revolution in the pursuit of justice, equality, liberty, and prosperity. No nation has done more to advance the human condition than the United States of America. And no people have done more to promote human progress than the citizens of our great nation.”

Trump said that the founders’ Declaration of Independence had “set in motion the unstoppable march of freedom.”

He concluded with an uplifting statement: “My fellow citizens: America’s destiny is in our sights. America’s heroes are embedded in our hearts. America’s future is in our hands. And ladies and gentlemen: the best is yet to come.”
