President Trump’s latest fundraising gains demonstrate his stronghold on the Republican Party.
Based on figures shared with FOX Business, Trump’s fundraising committees brought in $7.2 million in January. Moreover, his Save America PAC, Save America JFC (joint fundraising committee), and MAGA PAC collected $123.8 million cash on hand for the same month, as Trump continues to hold on to his title as the most prolific fundraiser in the GOP.
“While fundraising continues to grow, President Trump is committed to investing in his movement to ensure the MAGA Ticket is propelled to victory on Election Day,” communications director for President Trump, Taylor Budowich, told the news outlet.
“Unlike any Republican before him, President Trump continues to bring in an unprecedented number of new dollars and new donors into the movement, an effort that benefits candidates and causes up and down the ballot,” he continued.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Trump’s fundraising powers have attracted massive success.
In the first six months of 2021, Trump helped Republicans raise $56 million. This number includes $34 million from the Trump Make America Great Again Committee designed to raise money for Republicans and fundraising groups owned by Trump.
Trump’s fundraising groups also raised an additional $21 million.
Trump made more history after raking in $82 million from January to June in 2021. This haul brought cash on hand over $100 million.
Republican organizations and committees also achieved significant success fundraising in 2021, with Trump alluding that his name helped them achieve such success.
“I am pleased to see the entire party benefit from ‘Trump,'” the 45th president said. “By using my name and likeness through many of their efforts, the Republican National Committee raised $84 million, the National Republican Senatorial Committee raised $51.2 million, and the National Republican Congressional Committee raised $79.2 million.”
Trump’s fundraising milestones will likely continue as Americans anticipate another presidential bid in 2024.
