Trump Shatters GOP Fundraising Records as Possibility of 2024 Bid Lingers

President Trump shattered GOP fundraising expectations, becoming the first former president to rake in nine figures worth of donations as the possibility of a 2024 White House bid lingers.

According to Politico, Trump and his affiliated political committees raked in $82 million from January to June this year, bringing the cash on hand to over $100 million.

The 45th president released a statement on Monday touting the recent haul saying, “I am pleased to see the entire party benefit from ‘Trump,’” as he continues to advocate for election integrity heading into the 2022 midterm elections.

“By using my name and likeness through many of their efforts, the Republican National Committee raised $84 million, the National Republican Senatorial Committee raised $51.2 million, and the National Republican Congressional Committee raised $79.2 million,” Trump stated.

Trump praised the Republican party for its unity behind him as GOP operatives prepare to flip seats in the House and Senate during the upcoming midterm elections.

The Save America PAC constituted a majority of the fundraising haul which amounted to $62 million in total despite the fact Trump has spent very little of it to date.

The Make America Great Again PAC and a joint fundraising committee were responsible for the remaining funds raised from over three million contributions.

Over the weekend, Trump also released a statement reiterating the importance of “restoring faith in our election process and our country itself,” as many grow weary of the election process ahead of next year.

“We must have people who will stand for our America First Agenda of lower taxes, fewer regulations, support the Second Amendment, strong Borders, honoring our vets, and are very tough on crime,” he stated. “The American people know what’s at stake.”
