President Trump continues to gain momentum in the recent polls as he campaigned in Las Vegas on June 9 for the 2024 presidential election. Current polling data from National Public Affairs shows President Trump leading Biden by 10 points—49 percent to 39 percent in Nevada.
During an interview on Open Forum, a Filipino conservative-leaning podcast, Nevada GOP chairman and current Trump campaign senior advisor Michael McDonald said, “No taxes on tips is life-changing for families. It’s a better quality of life…If we win Nevada, we will win the presidential election.”
With Nevada being a battleground state, President Trump’s recent poll results are crucial for his turnout in November.
President Trump gains traction in Nevada for no taxes on tips policy
President Trump’s message of “no taxes on tips” resonates with Nevadans after his rally in Las Vegas on June 9, particularly with the service, gaming, and hospitality industries. His key policy proposal of eliminating federal taxes on tips appeals to workers in these sectors, which are crucial to Nevada’s economy, which is reliant on the tourism industry.
President Trump’s message that there should be no taxes on tips will provide financial relief to service, gaming, and hospitality industry workers nationwide.
In particular, one bartender at a restaurant based out of Mount Charleston in Clark County, Nevada, screamed “Trump 2024” after seeing the “No taxes on tips. Trump 2024” message on her receipt.
Many Nevadans feel the pinch of Biden’s failed economic policies as the cost of living, including gas, groceries, and housing, catches up with California’s prices.
President Trump’s lead in Nevada mirrors other key swing states, which will substantially impact his road to winning the presidential election on November 5, with Nevada paving the way to victory.
