Trump’s Truth Social will be fully functional by the end of March, CEO says

President Donald Trump’s new social media platform, Truth Social, will be fully functional by the end of this month, according to Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) CEO Devin Nunes.

On Monday, Nunes told Just the News’ John Solomon that people are signing up for the free speech platform “in droves,” and the company is working on getting everyone on board as quickly as possible.

TMTG CEO Devin Nunes told Just the News on Monday that Truth Social will be fully functional by the end of March.

“Our team is working around the clock; they continue to work around the clock, we continue to let more and more people on every single hour,” said Nunes. “You’re not going to want to go back to those old social media companies,” he added.

Nunes, who resigned from the U.S. House to become CEO of TMTG in January, urges users to stick with the new app, promising that the errors and bugs from its initial launch will soon be gone.

Many users experienced errors when they first signed up for an account due to high traffic. Those who could sign up were placed in a queue with hundreds of thousands of users ahead of them before they could use the app.

Over 1.2 million users are currently on the waitlist.

Over 1.2 million users are awaiting access to Trump’s Truth Social because of the app’s high demand and traffic volume.

“Our team is working literally around the clock 24/7,” Nunes told One America News. “And as we grow, and as we add people, we squash bugs. We’re making changes right. Matter of fact, we should have in the next day or two another Apple update.”

“Also, we’re doing—it’s not perfect—but we’re doing everything we can to keep the platform clean and to keep off all the nasty bots and the people that aren’t really real people,” he added.

Nunes also noted that Truth Social is not just another politics-heavy platform like Twitter; it is also a place where users are encouraged to post photos, life updates, and non-political content.

President Trump spoke with the press following his speech at CPAC in Orlando, Fla. on Feb. 26, 2022.

After Truth Social debuted on President’s Day, it skyrocketed to number one in the Apple app store, with nearly one million users awaiting access to the app within its first 48 hours.

President Trump discussed the launch of Truth Social at CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) in February, telling RSBN’s Brian Glenn that the app “has been an incredible success.”

Trump told Glenn that when he lost “hundreds of millions” of followers on social media after his expulsion from Big Tech, “We had no voice.” However, now that Truth Social is up and running, “We’re going to have a very strong voice again.”
