Truth Social has become the go-to platform for free speech, and soon, the site will be launching all-new streaming options for content creators who have faced de-platforming on other social sites.

According to an announcement from Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of Truth Social, they have finished six months of testing on its web and iOS platforms ahead of a planned development phase that will bring a “TV streaming platform” to fruition.

The statement described the planned streaming platform as a “content delivery network” or “CDN.”

There will be three phases of TMTG’s planned rollout for their CDN on Truth Social, as well. First, the company plans to introduce the Truth Social streaming CDN “for live TV” to the Truth Social app for iOS, Android, and web users.

The second rollout phase will “Release stand-alone Truth Social over-the-top (‘OTT’) streaming apps for phones, tablets, and other devices.” The final rollout phase will launch Truth Social streaming apps for “home TV.”

According to TMTG:

“The streaming content is expected to focus on live TV including news networks, religious channels, family-friendly content including films and documentaries; and other content that has been cancelled, is at risk of cancellation, or is being suppressed on other platforms and services.”

TMTG CEO Devin Nunes previously told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo that the media company was in a great position to do battle with Big Tech on the heels of the recent merger between TMTG and Digital World Acquisition Corp.

Per RSBN, Nunes explained, “Even if you take the ridiculous cost that it took us to get to this point, we are well positioned. Why are we well positioned? Because we have no debt. We’re coming out of this with no debt, a platform that works really, really well that communicates to millions of people. And then we have $200 million in the bank.”

Truth Social is the brainchild of President Donald Trump. After being censored and banned from mainstream social media platforms like X and Facebook, the site rolled out a soft launch in early 2022. The long-awaited merger has facilitated TMTG’s access to capital markets, and its expansion has been anticipated.

Nunes said in a statement this week, “With our streaming content, we aim to provide a permanent home for high-quality news and entertainment that face discrimination by other channels and content delivery services. There is a lot of great content that simply can’t find an audience for unjust reasons, and we want to let these creators know they’ll soon have a guaranteed platform where they won’t be cancelled.”
