Media personality Tucker Carlson warned viewers during Monday’s episode of his show “Tucker on X” that it not only seems that the United States is “heading to war with Iran” but that the Biden administration and Republican Party leaders are possibly “pushing” for it.

“We seem to be heading to war with Iran, certainly the Biden administration is pushing us in that direction. What’s new, and interesting, and ominous is that very few Republicans, the opposition party, are pushing back. Instead, some of the party’s leaders are pushing it,” Carlson stated.

In the nearly 30-minute episode, Carlson brought on former U.S. Army Colonel Douglas MacGregor to discuss what a war with Iran would actually look like for the United States.

“The bottom line is that we need to think this through, and everyone right now is emoting. There is no thinking anywhere as far as I can tell,” MacGregor stated.

The lead-up to this conflict began earlier this month when Hamas, a terrorist group, carried out an attack on Israel, brutally killing thousands of citizens. In response to the attack, Israel’s Minister Yoav Gallant announced that Gaza would be under “complete siege,” launching a series of airstrikes into the city.

The fighting between the two has caused thousands of casualties, and Israeli officials, according to the Council on Foreign Relations, have made it clear that their goal is to “eliminate Hamas.”

However, the war between Hamas and Israel stretches beyond their own borders. In fact, many various countries have come into play, such as Iran (which notably backs Hezbollah and Hamas groups), Russia, China, and the United States.

While the Biden administration has been firm on standing with Israel, Carlson notably points out that GOP party leaders, like Senator Lindsay Graham, R-S.C., are potentially furthering a push for the war.

“If Hezbollah, which is a proxy of Iran, launches a massive attack on Israel, I’ll consider that to the state of Israel, existential in nature. I’ll introduce a resolution to the United States Senate to allow military action by the United States in conjunction with Israel to knock Iran out of the oil business. Iran if you escalate this war, we’re coming for you,” Graham stated on NBC.

Graham, however, is not the only leader to be inching closer towards a clash with Iran. The Republican chairman of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee Michael McCaul, R-Texas, stated last week that they are drafting legislation to authorize the use of U.S. military force in Iran if the war between Israel and Hamas widens.

“How do you help one without committing a war crime against the other? This is the problem with collective punishment. This is the problem with annihilating Gaza and trying to sweep out its population,” MacGregor noted.
