A dynamic father-daughter pair of Arkansas governors will campaign on behalf of President Trump in Iowa on Monday as the Hawkeye State gears up to hold the nation’s first presidential primary caucus on Jan. 15.

Incumbent Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who served as press secretary to Trump, and former Gov. Mike Huckabee, will host two faith events in churches across the state.

The first event will be held Monday at the Hickory Grove Community Church in Ottumwa, Iowa, and the second will be held at the First Church of God in Des Moines.

Sanders, who endorsed Trump in November, wrote in a statement on X on Friday that she will campaign for Trump in Iowa because “we need his leadership back in the White House.”

She added, “The contrast between President Biden’s disastrous policies and President Trump’s successful policies could not be more clear. President Trump made America great and will again.”

Sanders’ father, Mike Huckabee, also announced the events, scheduled to take place a week before the Iowa caucus, in a post to X on Friday, asking supporters to attend the events.

The Hawkeye State’s caucuses will be the first test of voter turnout and support for President Trump’s contest to win the White House this year. If polling is any indication of how the caucuses will go down on Jan. 15, Trump is in a comfortable position to win the state in a landslide.

In Iowa, Trump has also been leading consistently in other polls, holding a 34-point lead over DeSantis in a Fox Business poll, a 36-point lead in a CBS News poll, and a 37-point lead in a poll sponsored by Iowa State University.

Trump will continue to spend more time campaigning in Iowa in the days leading up to the caucus as he ramps up rallies.
