Unvaccinated protestors arrested for attempting to eat at ‘vaccinated-only’ NYC restaurants

Earlier this week, protestors were arrested after they did not provide proof of vaccination at two New York City restaurants, including The Cheesecake Factory and Applebee’s.

Mitchell Bosch, a retired United States Army soldier, was one of the people participating in the sit-down protest. He served in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

According to The Gateway Pundit, Bosch said, “I served in Afghanistan, I served in Iraq. We are fighting an army much stronger than us. The enemy is the politicians, the oligarchies.”

“We have to do civil disobedience in order to get medical freedom,” he said, defending his actions. “All we want to do is get something to eat and drink and we will gladly get out of here.”

He passionately continued, “This is what it’s gonna take to get America to wake up – people to sacrifice, to get comfortable with getting uncomfortable…Even if it means we go spend a little time behind bars – we will not comply. WE WILL NOT COMPLY. Medical Freedom is not negotiable. Plain and simple. NOT NEGOTIABLE. I fought for this country in order to give everybody the opportunity for freedom- and I am not going to go down. I am willing to die for my country for freedom.”

The six men were a part of the medical freedom protests against the “Key to NYC” vaccine passport program implemented earlier this year. The new system makes it extremely difficult for unvaccinated individuals to enter restaurants, or other common establishments.

Ray Velez, one of the six members protesting got in a verbal altercation with the police officers, said, “We are here to access the facility in normal business hours, we are invitees of a public accommodating business, we are not committing a crime. We are here to eat, that cannot be criminal trespassing,” according to The Gateway Pundit.

Velez was eventually arrested after telling the officers “you swore an oath to the Constitution!”

Not only were the police called in The Cheesecake Factory, but reports of protestors getting arrested in Applebee’s eventually surfaced as well.

If patrons of restaurants are unvaccinated in New York City, they could face penalties, fines, and even jail time.
