President Donald Trump released a statement on Monday in response to Sunday’s attacks in Boulder, Colorado.

The president shared the comments in a post on Truth Social concerning the suspect, an Egyptian national who had overstayed a work visa provided during the Biden administration.

“Yesterday’s horrific attack in Boulder, Colorado, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in the United States of America. He came in through Biden’s ridiculous Open Border Policy, which has hurt our Country so badly,” Trump wrote.

“He must go out under ‘TRUMP’ Policy. Acts of Terrorism will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law. This is yet another example of why we must keep our Borders SECURE, and deport Illegal, Anti-American Radicals from our Homeland. My heart goes out to the victims of this terrible tragedy, and the Great People of Boulder, Colorado!” he continued.

The suspect in Sunday’s firebombing of a pro-Israel rally in Boulder is believed to be an Egyptian-born man in the U.S. illegally, raising concerns about the growing threat of lone-wolf terrorism.

Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, is accused of launching a violent attack on demonstrators at Pearl Street Mall using improvised incendiary devices. The victims were gathered to call for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas when Soliman allegedly ignited and threw devices that injured at least eight people.

Video footage from the scene shows a shirtless man standing defiantly with additional explosive devices in hand following the initial assault, while bystanders recorded the unfolding chaos. Law enforcement officers quickly responded, surrounding the area and taking the suspect into custody.

Authorities have charged Soliman with attempted first-degree murder, assault, criminal attempt to commit class 1 and class 2 felonies, crimes against at-risk adults or the elderly and unlawful use of explosives or incendiary devices during the commission of a felony.

Soliman also reportedly yelled, “Free Palestine.”

Early reports suggest that Soliman had been preparing for the attacks for a year. He also appears to have waited until after his daughter’s graduation, according to authorities.
