The Westchester district attorney has shut down their office’s investigation of the Trump Organization and will not bring charges. According to Business Insider, the value of the Trump National Golf Club was investigated for tax fraud with no clear evidence of wrongdoing.
The Trump campaign posted the good news to Twitter, stating, “Westchester Criminal Investigation Into Trump Org Closed, No Charges.”
This is not the first time that President Trump has been investigated for tax purposes. His tax returns became a topic of debate when they were released in January, per RSBN.
Despite allegations of tax fraud, no unlawful activities were found, and President Trump stated, “It’s nothing but another deranged political witch-hunt, which has been going on since the day I came down the escalator in Trump Tower.”
President Trump has experienced numerous legal battles since entering politics. He was impeached twice during his first term in office. The Durham report proved that the Russia Collusion allegations were a hoax, per RSBN, and the insurrection claims were also discredited by newly released unseen security footage, according to RSBN.
President Trump also won in court against Stormy Daniels in April, via RSBN, and has received wins regarding other cases in the past. He was recently arraigned for two ongoing cases which have questionable grounds that Trump has decried as “witch hunts.”
While political opponents and critics of Trump are quick to investigate his every move, Joe Biden has been linked to a potential international bribery scam, yet no charges have been filed, according to The Federalist.
This latest win affords Trump yet more credibility. He posted about the win to Truth Social stating, “AFTER GOING THROUGH A CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION FOR TWO YEARS BY THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NEW YORK, IT WAS JUST ANNOUNCED THAT THE CASE HAS BEEN DROPPED, AND NO CHARGES WILL BE FILED. THIS WAS THE HONORABLE THING TO DO IN THAT I DID NOTHING WRONG, BUT WHERE AND WHEN DO I GET MY REPUTATION BACK?”
He then asked, “WHEN WILL THE OTHER FAKE CASES AGAINST ME BE DROPPED?”
