President Trump gained another victory on Thursday when a Washington state judge rejected an effort by eight registered voters to remove the 45th president from the 2024 presidential primary ballot.

Thurston County Superior Court Judge Mary Sue Wilson decided that the state would move forward with printing ballots and voters’ pamphlets for the March 12 primary based on lists of candidates submitted by both parties, per a press release from the Washington Secretary of State’s Office.

Secretary of State Steve Hobbs provided the full candidate lists to be included on the primary ballot, which named Donald J. Trump.

Wilson stood by her decision, stating, “An order directing the secretary of state to take different action, an order from this court, is simply not supported by the statutes and not supported by the affidavit of the electors,” Judge Wilson said in her ruling, effectively dismissing the challenge.

The Washington state decision is the latest of several similar decisions nationwide, setting a solid precedent in Trump’s favor.

The Trump campaign released a statement following the Washington ruling, praising the “correct decision.”

Trump Spokesperson Steven Cheung wrote in a statement on Thursday, “Washington’s decision mirrors similar decisions in over a dozen federal courts as well as state courts in Michigan, Minnesota and Oregon.”

He continued, “Although the judge made the correct decision in this matter, we remain steadfast in our opposition to these cases, which are orchestrated by Democrat Party allies of failed president Crooked Joe Biden and we resolve to fight any and all remaining bad-faith, election-interfering sham cases wherever they reside.”

In February, the U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments on President Trump’s appeal of the Colorado Supreme Court decision to remove his name from the 2024 presidential primary ballot.

Looking onward to the upcoming ruling from the nation’s highest court, Cheung stated, “We believe that a fair ruling on the issues in front of the Supreme Court of the United States will ultimately put all of these unconstitutional misinterpretations of the 14th Amendment to rest, preserving American voting rights.”
