According to a press release, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office in the great state of Arizona and the Yuma County Recorder’s Office are working together to examine 16 active cases of voter fraud related to the 2020 presidential election.

Kari Lake, the popular Trump-endorsed Republican gubernatorial candidate for Arizona, commented on the news on Twitter. “This is a step in the right direction,” Lake stated. “May this be the beginning of Justice for the Rigged 2020 election.”

Lake is no stranger to the conversation surrounding election fraud and has frequently called for measures to secure voter integrity in the Grand Canyon State. Previously, she called for the decertification of Arizona’s 2020 presidential election results in light of determinative evidence of election fraud.

Yuma’s sheriff’s office and recorder’s office noted that they are seeing four types of fraud across the cases: False registrations, duplicate voting, impersonation fraud, and fraudulent use of absentee ballots.

This development also comes on the heels of Kari Lake’s move to file an injunction in Arizona to stop the state from using Dominion voting machines to tabulate votes in the upcoming 2022 election. Republican candidate for secretary of state Mark Finchem is also listed as a plaintiff in the filing. The defendants include Lake’s Democrat opponent Katie Hobbs and the boards of supervisors in both Pima County and Maricopa County.

Notably, the press release from the sheriff’s office stated that they are also seeing a “recent pattern of fraudulent voter registration forms leading up to the 2022 Primary Election.” This is a deeply concerning revelation amid already deteriorating trust in America’s elections process.

Arizona has garnered national attention for its shocking reports of election fraud over the last two years. Recently, Arizona was again thrust to the forefront of the conversation of election integrity in the film “2000 Mules,” which examined the dirty underbelly of ballot trafficking. Arizona was one of the five key states investigated in the film.
