Marjorie Taylor Greene’s announcement that she will be resigning from Congress on Jan. 5, 2026, came as a shock to many. She has been a fierce America First fighter. She has an incredible record of standing by her values and those of the American people.

She has a 97 percent score on The New American Freedom Index, indicating she has adamantly stood up for her constituents’ constitutional rights. And her record of attempting to protect and preserve American freedoms is exemplary.

Just looking through the list of legislation that Greene has sponsored is inspiring. She repeatedly introduced articles of Impeachment against Joe Biden during his horrific “leadership.” She repeatedly introduced bills to prevent government overreach, such as the many unlawful practices enforced during the 2020 COVID hysteria. And she supported President Donald Trump in his efforts to Make America Great Again, introducing a bill to codify his action to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, introducing a bill to make English the official language of our nation, and, mainly, by introducing multiple bills to resecure our elections to ensure that Americans’ votes matter.

MTG has been outspoken during congressional hearings. She hasn’t held back when clashing with Democrats on the House Floor. But mainly, she has been authentic and honest about her beliefs and her commitment to putting Americans first.

In recent months, she has committed to not just putting America First, but to serving America Only, as she works for The People who elected her and no one else. It is an admirable trait not consistently seen from every political leader in Washington, D.C.

The majority of her 2023-2024 campaign funds came from small individual contributions, per Open Secrets, and the House Freedom Fund supported her. While every politician faces criticism, Greene has truly been for the people, and she stood firm for as long as she could.

Politicians work in a rough field. They are supposed to represent everyone, yet no leader can possibly make everyone happy. It’s a job many Americans don’t want because it often gets ugly. It’s not just business or personal, it’s everything. MTG’s resignation is a perfect example of this.

Although everyone has their own opinion of her resignation, her record speaks for itself. She led with commitment and loyalty, and that is something to celebrate. While many of us will be sad to see her go next year, we thank her for her service and look forward to putting America First in the years ahead.
