It’s no secret that the liberal media takes every chance to berate President Trump, and this time the media jumped the gun and were forced to issue a correction of their so-called “fact check.”
According to Breitbart, news outlet CNN was forced to issue a correction after issuing a fake “fact check” about President Trump’s claims about NIH-funded mouse hormone studies during his joint address to Congress on Tuesday evening.
During his address, President Trump called out the appalling waste of funds that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) had uncovered in its first five weeks, which included handing out millions of dollars in taxpayer-funded grants to perform hormone testing on mice. President Trump told members of Congress that a staggering $8.2 million had been spent on “gender-affirming” hormone treatments on mice.
It didn’t take long for CNN to issue an incorrect fact check, labeling his comment as false and questioning where he had gotten that figure from. In response to CNN’s claim, the White House slammed the news outlet in a press release and laid out the true facts.
The White House wrote, “Last night, President Donald J. Trump highlighted many of the egregious examples of waste, fraud, and abuse funded by American taxpayers,” and added, “The Fake News losers at CNN immediately tried to fact check it, but President Trump was right (as usual).”
The White House also provided a list of transgender experiments on mice that totaled $8,290,053. Some of these included $2,500,000 for “Reproductive Consequences of Steroid Hormone Administration” and $455,000 for “A Mouse Model to Test the Effects of Gender-affirming Hormone Therapy on HIV Vaccine-induced Immune Responses.”
CNN was forced to issue a correction, and Breitbart reported that the article was edited and a statement was provided that read, “An earlier version of this item incorrectly characterized as false Trump’s claim about federal money being spent for “making mice transgender.” The statement also read, “The article has been updated with context about the spending, which was for research studies on the potential human health impacts of treatments used in gender-affirming care.”
CNN’s correction of their false reporting is a clear sign that President Trump has no time for fake and discredited outlets.
