Turning Point USA backs President Trump’s child investment initiative with matching contribution

Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk said the organization will match the federal government’s $1,000 deposits in Trump Accounts.

On Wednesday, President Trump held a summit to detail the ‘Trump Accounts.” The initiative is a tax-advantaged account for children under 18. Each child will receive $1,000 from the U.S. Treasury, and parents, relatives, and other employers may contribute up to $5,000 annually.

During a meeting on Monday, TIME reported that President Trump said, “This is a pro-family initiative that will help millions of Americans harness the strength of our economy to lift up the next generation, and they’ll really be getting a big jump on life.”

He called on other companies to donate, and Kirk responded. In a post shared to X, Kirk said the activist organization would match the federal government’s $1,000 deposits in Trump Accounts for the children of its employees.

According to Breitbart, Kirk wrote, “Charlie spoke so often about the importance of young families and having children, and his face would light up every time he learned about a Turning Point employee welcoming a newborn into their family.”

She added, “In that spirit, @TPUSAand @TPAction are honored to continue Charlie’s support of families through a company-sponsored dollar-for-dollar match of the federal government’s $1,000 contribution to the 503A ‘Trump Account’ established for every eligible employee’s newborn baby.”

Kik also shared that Turning Point is proud to stand with President Trump through this initiative. Breitbart reported that the Treasury Department states that a single $1,000 seed contribution at birth can grow to nearly $500,000 with average returns by age 60.

In addition to Turning Point, contributions from others included BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Robinhood, and Nvidia. JPMorganChase has also pledged to match the $1,000 contribution, and rapper Nicki Minaj has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Trump Accounts. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told ABC News that 600,000 families have already opened online accounts.

During the Wednesday summit, ABC News reported that President Trump shared, “Decades from now I believe the Trump accounts will be remembered as one of the most transformative policy innovations of all time.”
