President Donald Trump spoke out concerning Israeli hostages in Gaza on Monday, calling for their release and saying there will be “ALL HELL TO PAY” if change does not occur before he takes office next month.
Trump shared the strong words in a post on Truth Social that called for the release of hostages held by Hamas terrorists since the group’s attacks on Israel on Oct. 7, 2021.
“Everybody is talking about the hostages who are being held so violently, inhumanely, and against the will of the entire World, in the Middle East – But it’s all talk, and no action!” Trump began.
“Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if the hostages are not released prior to January 20, 2025, the date that I proudly assume Office as President of the United States, there will be ALL HELL TO PAY in the Middle East, and for those in charge who perpetrated these atrocities against Humanity. Those responsible will be hit harder than anybody has been hit in the long and storied History of the United States of America. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW!” he added.
Trump also cited a report Monday on this Truth Social account from The Hill reporting that the former chief of NATO said the Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire was a direct result of the incoming Trump administration.
“Iran [is] very vulnerable. What that means is that in the fight that Israel continues to have with Hezbollah … you’re seeing Hezbollah willing to go to a ceasefire,” ex-NATO leader James Stavridis told radio host John Catsimatidis in a Sunday interview on “The Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 AM.
“I think that’s a direct result of the presence of a new Trump administration coming on,” he continued.
The post also came one day after a Sunday post by Trump’s Deputy Director of Communications Margo Martin revealing that Trump met with Sara Netanyahu at the Trump International Golf Course. She is the wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
