The Trump campaign is speaking out after social media platform Snapchat continues its refusal to reinstate President Donald Trump while also asking for his campaign to advertise with them.
Snapchat banned Trump following the events of Jan. 6, 2021, and remains one of the only major platforms yet to reinstate him.
“Snapchat REFUSES to reinstate President Trump’s account — but then shamelessly asks the Trump campaign to advertise with Snapchat,” Trump’s War Room X account posted on Thursday.
“Big Tech is all in for Kamala! BIG TECH CENSORSHIP!” it added.
The post included a screenshot of the email it claims Snapchat sent to Trump’s campaign.
“I spoke with our Policy team and to provide a bit more context, they made the difficult decision to terminate former President Trump’s Public Profile in 2021 after multiple policy violations,” the email began.
“Unfortunately, our Terms of Service do not allow for reinstatement or for terminated users to create new accounts. Reinstating the profile would involve reassessing and implementing entirely new Terms of Service, and we are unable to give preferential treatment to any creator on the platform,” it continued.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign has spent $5.3 million in ads on Snapchat, according to Snapchat’s disclosures, according to Breitbart News.
Snapchat has over 100 million users in the U.S. Approximately 80 percent of its American users are 18 years old or older and eligible to vote, according to the report.
Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman for the Trump campaign, claimed that Harris was wasting her campaign cash on the platform, according to The New York Times.
“Silly Snapchat ads are not going to make up for the fact that her terrible economic policies have robbed young people of the American dream,” Leavitt said.
In contrast, Trump has invested in his own Truth Social platform, where he has more than 7.8 million followers. He has also become closely connected with X owner Elon Musk.
As RSBN recently reported, Musk donated $75 million to America PAC, a super PAC that has funded President Donald Trump’s campaign and helped other GOP candidates during the 2024 election cycle.
According to Business Insider, the funds were donated between July 1 and Sept. 30. The America PAC itself contributed just under $96 million to Trump. In addition, it has given over $10 million to support Republican House candidates in 18 different districts.
