President Donald Trump took a multi-day fundraising tour through the Golden State last week, where he reportedly raised millions of dollars across three different fundraisers, ranging from the Bay Area to Southern California.
The president made headlines for the warm reception he received from supportive California patriots as a bevy of videos shared online showed scores of MAGA loyalists lining the streets in the city by the bay and in Newport Beach.
“Newport Beach is MAGA country!!!” Trump Deputy Director of Communications Margo Martin wrote on X, sharing a video showing large crowds of supporters gathered on the road, foisting American flags and Trump flags, demonstrating their enthusiasm for the president’s visit.
Another fun video shared on President Trump’s Truth Social account showed him waving to yachters in the harbor at Newport Beach as boats honked their horns in support.
As reported by RSBN, Trump’s fundraising sweep included three stops in California: San Francisco, Beverly Hills, and Newport Beach. Tickets for the San Francisco event cost as much as $500,000 per couple, which was the reported crowning achievement of Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance (R), who helped organize the high-dollar dinner.
According to RNC Committeewoman Harmeet Dhillon, President Trump raised $12 million at the San Francisco event alone. She wrote on X, “$12M raised tonight! Incredible support for @realDonaldTrump. Not an empty seat in the gorgeous home of @DavidSacks and Jacqueline. Thrilled to see the tech leaders stepping up!”
She continued in a thread, “President Trump is relaxed, happy, and cracking jokes about AI. He was introduced by first @JDVance1 and then David Sacks. Many crypto leaders in the house, including from Coinbase and other companies.”
CEO and founder of Intercom, Eoghan McCabe, was present at the San Francisco event and noted that he spoke with six people there. “None identified as Republican,” he wrote. “All voted or donated Democrat in the past. Now they’re backing this guy for his policies on war, immigration, crypto, and more. This election is a referendum on those issues[.]”
The smashing fundraising numbers, coupled with incredible support from grassroots patriots upon Trump’s visit to California, demonstrates what could be a seismic shift in Golden State politics in 2024.
