FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino took a swing at James Comey, alleging that the former FBI director has been hiding things from the American public.

“Jim Comey, we’re finding stuff even now, wait till you read this stuff that’s coming out,” he said during an interview on Fox News.

Bongino, who now leads the FBI alongside new director Kash Patel, said they had been with the FBI a “couple of weeks” when they found a room filled with “stuff.”

“I wouldn’t call it hidden, but hidden from us…and we found stuff in there, a lot of it’s from the Comey era, and we are working our damnedest right now to declassify,” he continued.

This information comes just a week after James Comey fell under investigation for tone-deaf comments made on social media regarding President Trump, per CBS. The former FBI leader posted a photo of “86 47” on Instagram, which allegedly refers to calling for the removal of or political violence against the 47th president.

Bongino’s comments about Comey’s supposed documents squirreled away in FBI headquarters also come as Patel and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi have pledged to release the anticipated Jeffrey Epstein files to the public, as previously reported by RSBN.

Regarding Epstein – who allegedly killed himself in 2019 – Bongino said that he had seen a video suggesting that the late financier and convicted sex offender was alone when he committed suicide. This video, he explained, will eventually be released by the FBI.

“You’re going to see there’s no one there but them,” he said. “…There’s no DNA, there’s no audio, there’s no fingerprints, there’s no suspects, there’s no accomplices, there’s no tips, there’s nothing.”

On the issue of declassifying files, Bongino said he understood that the public wanted information at the FBI to be released quickly. “I get the public, I totally understand, people say, ‘Well, do it NOW.’ The process is, not all the information is ours to declassify, some is other intelligence agencies, we literally can’t do it.”

However, Bongino seemed to suggest that once the files they are uncovering are declassified, there will be a lot to digest.

He also added that most of the files they have located in the building “was not processed through the normal procedure – digitizing it, putting it in FBI records – we found it in bags, hiding under Jim Comey’s FBI.”
