Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., has outraised Democrat challenger Charlie Crist by more than eight million since the end of July.

According to the latest campaign finance reports obtained by Florida’s Voice, DeSantis outperformed Crist, accumulating $12.9 million in funds since July 30, while Crist sits at a low $4.7 million during the same timeframe.

Multiple polls show that with midterm elections just a few weeks away, DeSantis is favored to win his reelection bid as he holds a steady lead over Crist.

A Florida Chamber poll conducted before the state’s primary election in August revealed DeSantis’ eight percent lead over Crist and a seven-point lead over Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried, RSBN reported.

As of Sept. 13, Five ThirtyEight has given DeSantis an average six-point lead over Crist after taking into account multiple recent polls.

DeSantis continues a steady lead over Crist in recent polls.

DeSantis is also the first Republican incumbent in the state to have a GOP voter advantage heading into an election cycle.

Data from the Florida Department of State indicated that Florida’s GOP had gained 71,046 voters year-to-date since 2021, and Democrats lost roughly 116,767 voters in the same timeframe, as RSBN reported.

The rise in Republican voters in the Sunshine State is sure to help DeSantis cruise to victory, as Republican voters surpass Democrats for the first time in state history.
