Hunter Biden’s former friend and business associate Devon Archer has officially arrived on Capitol Hill, where he will likely testify before the House Oversight Committee before Monday’s end.
RSBN previously reported that Archer was poised to testify on Monday after a letter from the DOJ appeared to confirm a July 31 testimony date.
Preceding Archer’s arrival in D.C., GOP representatives slammed the DOJ for allegedly pressing for a sentencing date related to Archer’s prior conviction of conspiracy to defraud.
However, the DOJ clarified in a letter to a New York judge that they requested that Archer’s surrender to authorities occur after his testimony before the Oversight Committee.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., confirmed that Archer would be appearing in D.C., writing on Twitter on Monday morning, “It’s on. Devon Archer is coming in. The DOJ harassment and obstruction can’t stop the truth about Joe Biden from being told. Impeachment Inquiry is imminent.”
A clip from Fox News captured the moment Archer arrived on Capitol Hill, smiling widely as the press took photos and asked him for comments.
Archer’s testimony has been hotly anticipated, as he was closely intertwined with the Bidens in their business dealings overseas.
However, according to alleged text messages sent from Archer to Hunter in 2019, he later decried what he appeared to see as cold-hearted behavior from the Biden family.
He allegedly wrote, “Why did your dad’s administration appointees arrest me and try to put me in jail? Just curious. Some of our partners asking out there. Why would they try and ruin my family and destroy my kids and no one from your family’s side step in and at least try to help me. I don’t get it. And I’m depressed.”
