This Thanksgiving, take a moment to tune out the chaotic noise of the mainstream media and the many voices vying for attention on social media, and consider this: one year ago, the United States of America was being governed by Joe Biden.

Today, the U.S. is being led by President Donald Trump, and that’s something to be thankful for. Amid a busy year of politics and deal-making, the president has done his best to speed-walk the country into a “Golden Age,” and while there is still much work to be done, the administration has made considerable strides toward assuaging Biden-era problems.

Together, America’s head is rising above water once again. As Thanksgiving weekend falls upon the nation, reflect on the improvements and the wins that the country has experienced over the past several months.

Winning on gas

It’s a fact that gas prices are lower now than they were during the thick of the Biden administration. Last Thanksgiving, likely in anticipation of a transfer of power, gas prices dipped to just $3.04 per gallon, matching this year’s price.

Consider that the average fuel price rose to $3.56 per gallon in 2022, amid Biden’s unreal inflation disaster, and it’s clear that the Trump administration is stemming the wounds from previous leadership.

According to Fox News, almost 30 states in the Union have average gas prices under $3 per gallon. The most expensive state in the nation for gas, unsurprisingly, is California, with an average of $4.63 per gallon.

The rest of the nation is coming along swimmingly, thanks to President Trump’s energy policies.

Winning on groceries

As reported by RSBN, Thanksgiving food prices are lower than they’ve been in years. According to data from the American Farm Bureau Federation, a basket of holiday goods like turkey, cranberry sauce, and potatoes, on average, costs $55.18 for a table of 10 people.

This is a five percent decrease from 2024. And consider that in 2022, under Biden, this same basket of food peaked at $64.05.

President Trump is bringing grocery prices back down.

Winning on the trade deficit

According to the White House, the trade deficit has shrunk significantly this year, even amid the 43-day government shutdown. The goods and services trade gap narrowed almost 24 percent in August from July, Bloomberg reported. This is a direct result of President Trump’s tariff policies kicking in and doing the economic heavy lifting for Biden’s beleaguered economy.

Winning on law and order

President Donald Trump ran his campaign largely on a promise to seal the southern border, stop the illegal alien invasion, and deport the millions of potentially criminal elements that have come into the country.

He has made good on his word. His administration has decreased the illegal alien population in America by 2.2 million. Per RSBN, 400,000 of these migrants were directly deported, and 1.6 million self-deported to get ahead of the curve.

President Trump also promised to “wage war on the cartels,” bringing drugs into America. With multiple strikes against narco-terrorist vessels in the Caribbean and the designation of these networks as terrorist organizations, he has certainly fulfilled that promise.

Winning in general

In politics, it’s easy to get bogged down in the negative developments and the less-than-rosy news headlines. While nothing is perfect, it’s so important to buckle down and remember how blessed Americans are to live in the greatest country in the world.

President Donald Trump has worked hard to accomplish what he has in 2025, and the country should recognize that and give him credit where it’s due. The “Golden Age” of America is an active work in progress, and it requires the people to come together in unity behind the president’s agenda to ensure that this critical country-saving work is cherished for generations to come.
