More than a dozen whistleblowers have come forward following the raid of President Donald Trump’s Florida home, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, revealed on Sunday.
In an interview with Fox News, Jordan stated that at least 14 FBI whistleblowers had paid the congressman a visit detailing what has been happening in the Justice Department, Just the News reported.
“Fourteen FBI agents have come to our office as whistleblowers, and they are good people. There are lots of good people in the FBI. It’s the top that is the problem,” Jordan said. “Some of these good agents are coming to us, telling us this is baloney, what’s going on — the political nature now of the Justice Department — God bless them for doing it — talking about the school board issue, about a whole host of issues.”
Jordan’s revelations come after President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home was raided and occupied by FBI agents, which many Republicans have characterized as politically motivated as Trump gears up to announce his 2024 plans.
Following the raid, Trump questioned why the FBI proceeded with a raid since he would have given them access to any White House documents if they had asked. The agency did not need to “seize anything,” the president suggested.
“Number one, it was all declassified. Number two, they didn’t need to ‘seize’ anything. They could have had it anytime they wanted without playing politics and breaking into Mar-a-Lago. It was in secured storage, with an additional lock put on as per their request…” Trump posted on Truth Social.
“…They could have had it anytime they wanted—and that includes LONG ago. ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS ASK,” he continued.
The 45th president also announced Monday that he had three of his passports “stolen” during the raid.
“Wow!” the 45th president wrote. “In the raid by the FBI of Mar-a-Lago, they stole my three Passports (one expired), along with everything else. This is an assault on a political opponent at a level never seen before in our Country. Third World!” Trump said on Truth Social.
