A disturbing new report has surfaced that suggests prosecutors in the southern district of Florida are potentially poised to bring dozens of new charges against President Trump.
According to sources obtained by the Independent, federal prosecutors could bring as many as “30 to 45 charges” to tack onto Trump’s already over-the-top 37 charges in the ongoing probe related to the alleged “mishandling” of supposedly classified documents.
Special Counsel Jack Smith is spearheading the investigation.
Via the Independent, the charges would be “either in a superseding indictment in the same Florida court or in a different federal judicial district. In either case, they would do so using evidence against the ex-president that has not yet been publicly acknowledged by the department, including other recordings prosecutors have obtained which reveal Mr Trump making incriminating statements.”
President Trump is already facing a combined 71 charges between two cases in the courts right now – one in Manhattan and the existing federal investigation in Florida.
The president has often referred to Special Counsel Jack Smith as “deranged” and has lambasted the astronomical indictment lists as “election interference.”
He wrote in June, “COULD SOMEBODY PLEASE EXPLAIN TO THE DERANGED, TRUMP HATING JACK SMITH, HIS FAMILY, AND HIS FRIENDS, THAT AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, I COME UNDER THE PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS ACT, AS AFFIRMED BY THE CLINTON SOCKS CASE, NOT BY THIS PSYCHOS’ FANTASY OF THE NEVER USED BEFORE ESPIONAGE ACT OF 1917.”
Since being indicted in April and then again in June, President Trump’s popularity among voters has skyrocketed, netting him 30- to 40-point leads in most GOP primary polls.
RSBN previously reported, for example, that Trump held a 34-point lead to win the Republican primary nomination among GOP voters, according to Fox News.
At the recent “Road to Majority” conference hosted by the Faith and Freedom Coalition, Trump joked, “I’m probably the only person in history of this country that’s been INDICTED and my numbers went up.”
The ongoing legal attacks have seemed to significantly bolster the strength of Trump’s campaign, continually widening the gap between himself and all other Republican contenders.
He recently told a crowd in North Carolina, “I put everything on the line. I will never yield, I will never be deterred – I will never stop fighting for you.”
The DOJ’s relentless pursuit of President Trump is viewed by most as a politically motivated attempt to keep the 45th president from winning the White House in 2024. Unfortunately for the president’s political enemies, he has made it very clear that no matter what happens, he’ll “never” leave the race.
He told Politico in June, “I’ll never leave. Look, if I would have left, I would have left prior to the original race in 2016. That was a rough one. In theory that was not doable.”
